  • Is unresponsive, floppy, or cannot be woken for a feed
  • Has a seizure, even a short one that stops
  • Has a rash that does not fade when pressed with a glass

📞 Call the doctor today if baby…

  • Is under 3 months with 38.0 °C (100.4 °F) or more, measured rectally
  • Refuses several feeds in a row, or is too sleepy to feed
  • Has fewer than 6 wet diapers in 24 hours
  • Cries in a way that sounds wrong to you: weak, high-pitched, nonstop
  • Just seems "off" to you. Your gut counts as a symptom.
